This plant deserved its own journal instead of writing it under our 2019 post, which was not successful in liquid-based.

We sowed the seeds on April 26, 2020, at 2.31 pm.

When it germinated on the 28th, we thought it was a blueberry because this errant seed has gotten into our blueberry seeds tray.

As the plant grew, it became more apparent that it’s unlikely to be a blueberry.

First, the leaves were more similar to our 2019 huckleberry plants.

HOW IT GROWS

 

In less than a week, the seedling was 3.5 cm long.

FLOWERS 

 

Flowers do not need human intervention to turn into fruits.

FRUITS

 

Berries grow on their own thus these were easier than tomatoes.

When fully ripe, the berries are not shiny and black in color.

JUICY BERRIES

They taste mildly sweet and were juicy.

This is an easy beginner gardener’s plant to try and the rewards are plentiful of berries to pick with children.

HYDRO CHALLENGES

 

The plant will be huge, measuring 86 cm top side by the second month.

Roots are massive and have a lateral formation and become stressed in soil and liquid-based when there was no room to grow further.

 

Leaves will turn yellow.

A THIRSTY PLANT

This hydro bush plant will react immediately when liquid is low.

It needs a huge reservoir.

However, it can recover quickly if the problem is resolved quickly.
